  • so i was suppose to keep up bloggin but apparently that didn't turn out so good since i have no internet at na's house. i'm finally done with maymester of summer school. i took biotechnology and made a B so i'm pretty proud of myself. i actually got to know most of my class since we'd do study groups all day. if only you could imagine cramming a whole semester in 3 weeks, then you could tell my stress level was wayyyyy up. on a good note, i got to go to panama city in florida during memorial day weekend with my family. pictures will be up whenever i can upload them. i've been working a lot at new york but it's cool cause the money's rolling in and i need it to pay off student loans. oh yeah i finally got my stimulus check from the gov't so thats some extra spending money in my pocket. i'm trying real hard to get back into shape, i've been running 1-2 miles everyday after class in the morning. this month isn't so bad since i'm taking organic chemistry. it's only the lecture part since i've already have the lab grade down. so here's to hoping i'll make an A in the class.

  •     wow, i haven't been on xanga since my nursing days. i have no idea why i decided to come back but something just told me that i needed to write my life out to whoever is listening, or should i say reading. so my life has somewhat changed in the past two years.
i'm no longer in nursing school. after my summer abroad trip to cambodia and thailand, i decided to change my major. i went back to mtsu for pre-med, then i changed it to pre-pharmacy and hopefully i'm sticking to that. i'm majoring in biology and chemistry since i figure that going to college for 5 years and getting two degrees is equivalent to going for 4 years and only getting one degree. i'm finally going to be graduating may 9, 2oo9, so save that date people!
i no longer work at aeropostale. isn't that a shocker? after being a loyal worker and working there for 4 years, it was time to move on, plus they didn't appreciate me and new management pissed me off. i'm now working at new york & company where they pay me better and every week as well as appreciate my hard work.
so that's the update on my life, now i can actually vent about my day. so i didn't go to sleep until 2am since i stayed up late making signs for our lockers, i had to go to the parent teacher store to laminate my signs. all i can say is wow. that store is like a hidden secret or something. lamination is only 75 cents per foot, what a deal. it cost $2 at kinkos for just an 8x11. after paying only $2 for all my signs to be laminated, i went into work. man, that shit was so busy. i know it's the day before mother's day and all but damn, seriously now. it was so busy that someone stole a whole mannequin and we didn't even notice it until it was way too late.
my wonderful sarah came to visit me. she came at 5 and ended up staying and helping us close till 10. she's such a sweetheart. we didn't straighten anything except the table because we needed to get the hell out so bad.
i think that's a pretty long enough update for now. hopefully there will be more to come later :)

  • i was getting frustrated today because i couldn't get into my nursing building. security is so tight you need to have an ID card to scan just to open the door. my ID card wasnt working and i was running late too. i couldn't get into my web class online cause it said that i had some error. now i cant do my work for my nutrition class.  they gave us a free blood pressure kit, (thank buddha we're at least getting something back for our $350 class fee) so now i can check ppl's "vital signs" like their blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiratory rate. :) i dislike my stethoscope right now though for many reasons. i was suppose to have lunch with noi and discuss current events in our lives lol but she wanted a raincheck because she was tired. eric called me to go to the mall so get his senior pics from him and to help him look for prom stuff. then na came and took me to red lobster. now it's study all night until i go to sleep.

  • was tripping about finding money to pay tution but i got all that settle now. i found out that i'll be doing clinicals either at vanderbilt or st. thomas, both are really good hospitals so it's koo. i went to the nursing orientation and they gave us a bag of goodies. inside was a cup full of stuff with notes that explained what it was for that said:

ADViL - for those late night careplan headaches (useless because i can't take pills)
POST iT NOTES MiNiS - because even little ideas can generate big successes
GRANOLA BAR - to remind you to eat healthy and take care of yourself first, so you can take care of others
BUBBLE GUM - for those sticky topics in nursing that challenge you to explore your values and beliefs
HiGHLiGHTER - remember to look on the lighter side of things
BANDAiD - use this to put a struggling friend back together after a hard day. it can mend all kinds of wounds
HUGS & KiSSES - for those days that only chocolate can improve, especially in the form of a hug or kiss
RUBBER BAND - to help you remember that if you want to hold it all together, you must be flexible or you will break
PENNY -  reminder to communicate your thoughts, then throw the penny into the nearest fountain and make a wish for your future

plus lots of candy . it was nice.
